The new chicken-mango salad commercial is ready and can be seen on TV and online starting today!
The story of Johma begins in 1968, when founders Johan and Martin started a salad company in a garage in Glanerbrug (a small town near Enschede in Twente). A company name was quickly created by combining both first names. The first customers were butchers and small supermarkets in the eastern part of the Netherlands.
From the very beginning, the business grew steadily. By the mid-1970s, demand had increased to such an extent that a larger location was needed. They found this in Losser, just a few kilometres away. Under new management, growth continued strongly from the mid-1980s onwards. During these years, they also launched the well-known jingle: “salads from Johma, surprisingly delicious salads.”
With their own Twente way of working (friendly, hardworking, and honest), they introduced many innovations in the following years. In 2010 and 2011, they renewed both recipes and packaging, as well as the brand identity. Under the name “Johma from Twente”, they proudly present their roots.
