On Tuesday, March 24, the annual opening of the tourist season in the municipality of Losser took place. It was an inspiring day where entrepreneurs and organizations from the tourism sector came together to get to know each other better, share experiences, and officially kick off the new season.

Warm Welcome at Minicamping Poort Bulten

The day began at Minicamping Poort Bulten, where Simone and Marco Benneker gave us a warm welcome. Coffee and treats were ready, and after a heartfelt greeting, we were given a tour of the campsite. This included a look at the new “trekkershut,” a wonderful addition for walkers and cyclists seeking a comfortable stay in the heart of nature.

Exploration at Arboretum Poort Bulten

Next, we walked together to Arboretum Poort Bulten. Guided by three enthusiastic Natuurmonumenten guides, we explored this unique park, discovering the rich variety of trees, plants, and stories that make the arboretum so special.

Enjoying Lunch at ’t Lutters Kwartier

After the walk, it was time for a well-deserved lunch at ’t Lutters Kwartier. Marie-Louise welcomed us personally, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch together. It was a perfect moment to catch up and build new connections within Losser’s tourism network.

Hospitable Reception at ’t Keampke

In the afternoon, we visited ’t Keampke. We first toured the accommodation ’t Keampke Buiten, followed by a warm welcome from Margret, Henri, and their son Cas. Margret and Cas shared an inspiring presentation about the past, development, and future plans of ’t Keampke—a story full of passion and entrepreneurship.

AI Workshop by Saxion University

A special highlight of the day was a workshop on Artificial Intelligence, led by two lecturers and four students from Saxion University. The session provided surprising insights into the possibilities of AI in the tourism sector, showing how technology can enhance innovation and guest experiences. It was an impressive and educational experience for everyone present.

Closing Remarks

The day concluded officially with words from Alderman Milad Lahdo, who emphasized the importance of collaboration within the tourism sector. This was followed by a cheerful networking reception, where attendees shared drinks and reflections on a successful and inspiring day.
