Receiving an NL Greenlabel is recognition for sustainable efforts in the areas of greenery and the living environment. Lodewijk Hoekstra, known as a television presenter, green expert, and co-founder of NL Greenlabel, presented the award with area label B.

During the design process and execution of the Centrum Plan in De Lutte, sustainability in the broadest sense continuously played a central role in the decisions made together by the team. The result is something to be proud of, and this is now recognised with a special certification. To give the result a face, they are awarded an NL Greenlabel certificate.
The NL Greenlabel certificate is awarded to projects, areas, or municipalities that apply sustainability criteria in the design and management of public spaces. This recognition takes into account the impact on biodiversity, the use of sustainable materials, water management, and energy savings. It is therefore a strong incentive for local communities to place greenery, sustainability, and biodiversity at the centre.

Centrum De Lutte
The work in the centre of De Lutte is now almost completed. Before the summer, the construction team “Building on De Lutte” finished the final works in the centre. Now that the centre has been in use for some time, a joint inspection was carried out this morning with all involved parties to review the work and consider possible improvements.
De Lutte has undergone a remarkable transformation. The centre has become a major attraction for both tourists and local residents. The village centre radiates hospitality and sustainability, with attractive streets, lots of greenery, cosy terraces, and excellent walking and cycling facilities.
The beating heart of De Lutte
The centre of De Lutte forms a natural meeting place for both residents and visitors. Many different routes (car, cycling, and walking routes) intersect in the village centre, making it easy for visitors to start and end their journeys there. This also benefits local hospitality businesses and shops, creating a lively and welcoming village centre.
Congratulations to the construction team De Lutte, Dura Vermeer, and the municipality of Losser on this great certification—a fantastic achievement and wonderful promotion for De Lutte!
