100 years of Van Heek in Losser: Open Day on June 6

  • 6 June
  • 10:00- 15:30
  • Losser

This year, Van Heek Textiles is celebrating a special milestone: the factory building in Losser is 100 years old.

To mark this anniversary, Van Heek Textiles will open its doors to the public on Saturday, June 6 for a festive open day. Residents from the region are warmly invited to experience this special place up close.

The factory building in Losser was built in 1926 by Ludwig van Heek and his sons, and has grown into a well-known name in the area and beyond. For a century, textiles at this location have been closely connected with craftsmanship, innovation, and community. The current factory building is also a listed national monument and represents an important piece of industrial heritage in the region.

During the open day, visitors will get a unique behind-the-scenes look at one of the few textile factories in the Netherlands where the entire production process—from weaving and knitting to finishing—still takes place under one roof. An exhibition will also take guests on a short journey through 100 years of history. Van Heek Textiles has been active for more than 160 years as a producer of high-quality fabrics and technical textile solutions, playing an important role in Twente’s textile history.
