  • Losser

The charming Dinkel town of Losser will, as tradition dictates, once again travel back in time for four days to the era of master painter Pieter Brueghel the Elder (c. 1525 – 1569).

Experience Losser as it was 500 years ago during the Brueghelian Feast from August 13 to 16. The town center transforms into a medieval spectacle full of crafts, music, street theater, fire-breathers, treats, and children’s entertainment. Come watch, taste, and enjoy this unique celebration for all ages!

This large-scale festival, attracting around 100,000 visitors, has grown over the years into one of the largest and most well-known events in the region and beyond.

Who doesn’t recognize the extraordinary scenes of the master painter, where grim and bizarre performances often take center stage? Eating, drinking, and celebrating like a true ‘Brueghelian’ among beggars, lepers, and brawlers is a unique experience. Naturally, market vendors and troubadours will not be missing in the atmospheric setting Losser provides during these days.

The full program will be published here in due course.

New: The Brueghel Beer Garden Enjoy a cozy atmosphere every day in the beer garden with views of the stage, a drink in hand, and food trucks all around.

Check out the Brueghelian Feast website to see the full program.

Simultaneously with the Brueghelian Feast, the Onder de Oale Toarn Festival will also take place.
